The daughter of Todo Un Amiguito headlines the Clásico Farnesio, where Causeway Girl makes her return to action.

With no racing Sunday at La Plata and uncertainty lingering over Tuesday’s program, the best plan for this holiday Monday is to head to Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo and enjoy an afternoon of racing. The highlight of the 13-race card will be the Clásico Farnesio, honoring the unforgettable son of Good Manners, a brilliant racehorse and an outstanding sire.
Open to fillies and mares three and up, contested over 1400 meters on Palermo’s turf under weight-for-age conditions, the race features a standout contender in Amiguita Gina (Todo Un Amiguito). A proven specialist over this course and distance, she has already captured the Clásico República Oriental del Uruguay (G3) and Clásico Espadaña under similar conditions. Last time out, she finished a close second, just 1/2 length behind the improving Obra Clásica (Daddy Long Legs) in the Clásico Juárez Celman (G2) over a mile.
Trainer Juan Saldivia also sends out Causeway Girl (Dabster), a promising three-year-old filly owned by Al Adiyaat of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Khalifa Al Maktoum. Returning from a 162-day layoff, she was last seen securing back-to-back stakes victories in the Clásico Asociación Cooperativa de Criadores (L) and Clásico Empiric.
If allowed to dictate the pace, Early Life (Suggestive Boy) could prove tough to catch, while Filippiada (Il Mercato) returns to the same distance where she captured the Clásico Güiraldes (G3) in 2024. Meanwhile, Guiltless (Full Mast) and Tac-Tac (Manipulator) will be hoping to spring an upset.
