HALLANDALE BEACH, Florida (Special for Turf Diario) - The second performance of the Argentine mare Ballado's Beach at the United States tracks left a feeling of satisfaction, taking part this Saturday at Gulfstream Park in the La Prevoyante Stakes (G3), contested over 2400 meters on the turf and with $165,000 in purses.

The daughter of Treasure Beach, who Ignacio Correas (h.) trains for the J and J Stables LLC, finish seventh, 5 lengths behind Forever After All, a daughter of Connect whose granddam is the also Argentine Candy Cane (Ride the Rails), a full sister to Champion Candy Ride.

With Frenchman Vincent Cheminaud on the irons, Ballado's Beach was always in the middle of the pack and on the last turn tried to move wide. She got close, but the pace of the race became so intense that she was unable to make up any ground and was immediately behind the favorite Beautiful Love (Siyouni), who had just finished on the nose of Didia (Orpen) in the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf (G1).

Ahead, Forever After All catch Chop Chop (City of Light), who had dominated going into the stretch, on the line, in an extraordinary performance by Tyler Gaffalione, the best American jockey of the moment. The difference between winner and second was a nose, with the French La Mehana (Al Wukair) in third a neck back, and with Whatlovelookslike (English Channel) in fourth at the same margin.

Forever After All had just finished second to the aforementioned La Mehana in the Via Borghese Stakes (L), preparatory for the La Prevoyante, where Ballado's Beach had made her local debut finishing fifth.

By Julia's Tuttle (Giant's Causeway), who was a winner of the Twin Light Stakes (L) in the US, Forever After All is a half sister to G1 winner Tom's d'Etat (Smart Strike).

Ballado's Beach delivered in a tough race and leaves the door open for a satisfying closer on U.S. tracks soon.
