Dupuy 2025: 16 confirmed runners and Colifato Novo as the special guest at the event

The big day at La Punta is coming next Sunday, with the colt confirmed for the Clásico Estrellas Puntanas (1000 meters)

LA PUNTA, San Luis (Special for Turf Diario) – The Gran Premio Vicente Dupuy (G3, 2400 meters, dirt), the only graded race held outside of Buenos Aires, has its list of 16 confirmed runners for what promises to be a spectacular day. The event will feature a special guest, as the two-time G1 winner Colifato Novo returns to action in the Clásico Estrellas Puntanas, a 1000-meter race.
Out of the 20 entries, four have been withdrawn, leaving a strong lineup for the Dupuy, which will offer a tempting prize of 15,000,000 pesos to the winner. The Estrellas Puntanas will offer 5,000,000 pesos to its winner, as will the Clásico Estrellas Precoces (800 meters), for 2-year-olds. The day's prestigious program will also include the Handicap Juan Esteban Pedernera (1600 meters, 1,250,000 pesos), although the latter is not an official graded race.
The runners for the Dupuy are: He's a Rockstar (Endorsement), Te Super Adora (Super Saver), Praia do Forte(Suggestive Boy), Code Breaker (True Cause), Ettore (Il Campione), J B Storm (J Be Key), Vivi Jurando (Jurabas Tu), Votemos (Manipulator), Back Story (Incurable Optimist), Barolito (Stratham), El Mau (Holy Boss), Endo Verde(Endorsement), Fest King (Daniel Boone), Olimpik Hit (Hit It a Bomb), Perfect Inc (Vagabundo Inc), and Vientos del Sur (Southern Cat).
In the Estrellas Puntanas, open to horses aged 3 and up entered in the series sponsored by the Fundación Equina Argentina, Colifato Novo (with draw number 1) will face just eight opponents: Anda Conmigo (Angiolo), Dark Sound (Long Island Sound), Don Mango (Cityscape), El Lejano (Il Campione), Galán de Moda (Galán de Cine), Gato Alabado (Hurricane Cat), Helen Play (Storm Play), and Ventajero John (Curioso Johan).
The Clásico Estrellas Precoces, restricted to horses entered in the Carreras de las Estrellas, will have 14 runners: Buzz Lightyear (Seahenge), Cantero (Strategos), Dices Que Sí (Touareg), Empress Girl (Legión de Honor), La Alfonso (Grand Reward), Lo Intenté Todo (Le Blues), Mantenido (Silentio), Puerto Miami (Puerto Escondido), Pura Mística (Il Mercato), Shilton Boy (Legión de Honor), Shuliana (Seize), Todo En Claro (Todo Un Amiguito), and True for Sale (True Cause).
As for the Handicap Juan Esteban Pedernera, there will be 12 participants, with Master Mago (Master of Hounds) carrying the maximum weight of 60 kilos, one more than El Quillay (Il Campione).
The day will feature a total of eight races, with the first race scheduled to start at 12:40 PM and the last race around 6:30 PM. The Dupuy will take place at 6:00 PM as the seventh race, preceded by the Estrellas Puntanas and Estrellas Precoces, with the Handicap Juan Esteban Pedernera opening the day’s card.
