At her preferred distance of 1200 meters, the daughter of Suggestive Boy dictated the pace from the break and drew off comfortably in the stretch

There’s no doubt that the 1200 meters on turf in the Clásico Roberto Pellegatta are a perfect fit for Early Life, who on Monday secured back-to-back victories in the race honoring the legendary trainer, becoming the standout performer of the afternoon at Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo.

Facing just three rivals under weight-for-age conditions, the Suggestive Boy filly returned to the winner’s circle after more than eight months, snapping a frustrating streak of near misses.

Jorge Peralta stuck to the script, allowing the mare from Stud Juanjo (Tucumán) to roll freely from the gate, opening a commanding lead while seemingly well within herself—though, as usual, no official fractions were recorded. Once in the stretch, the jockey guided her towards the center of the track and simply waited for any late challenges, which never materialized.

The final furlong was a breeze for the chestnut, who coasted home five lengths clear of Victoria Bayern (Santillano), with Look Happy (Hi Happy) another head back in third. Crhys Kissing (South Kissing), in an unfamiliar racing style, rounded out the field two lengths behind, with the timer stopping at an impressive 1:09.30.

Bred by Haras Rodeo Chico, Early Life now boasts seven wins in 23 starts, with four of them at the stakes level—in addition to her back-to-back Pellegatta victories, she previously captured the Clásico Vale Dori and Clásico Snow Figure, all at her preferred six-furlong distance.

The ninth foal—and fourth winner—out of Early Glory (Honour and Glory), Early Life hails from a deep black-type family. She is a maternal sibling to Early Princess (Kitwood), a G1 winner and dam of G1 Emergente (Salt Lake), as well as to Eclisa (Kitwood), dam of G1 Ejecutor (Asiatic Boy). The pedigree also features Early Kit (Kitwood), a G3 winner who produced stakes winner Early Boy (Intérprete), and extends to black-type winners such as Emmanuel (Roman Ruler), Elizabetta (Roman Ruler), and classic scorers El Emirato (Roman Ruler), Eliceo (Remote), and Enjoy Dancing (Hi Happy).
