The breeding operation that led the last three breeders’ standings to offer 123 lots, including yearlings, weanlings, horses in training, and a stallion prospect

Every time Haras El Paraíso holds a sale, the market takes notice. And when it comes to its traditional Grand Annual Sale, the official kickoff of its yearling sales season, expectations rise even higher. The event, set for Saturday at 12 p.m. at the farm’s facilities, is a must for those searching for their next top prospect—whether a yearling with classic aspirations, a weanling to develop, or a horse in training ready to hit the track immediately.
Under the hammer of Monasterio Tattersall, the three-time reigning leading breeder will present 123 lots, joined by Triple Alliance and Cañada Negra as special guests.
As always, the yearlings will be the main attraction, with 47 colts and fillies set to parade before prospective buyers. The lineup includes offspring of Il Campione (Scat Daddy), Le Blues (Roman Ruler), Angiolo (Grand Reward), and Master of Hounds (Kingmambo), as well as representatives from the second crops of champions Strategos (Zensational), Springdom (Sebi Halo), and Mootasadir (Dansili). The sale will also mark the debut of the first yearlings by champions Village King (Campanologist) and Sovereign (Galileo).
Among the standout prospects is Con Estilo, a September 7, 2023-born son of Strategos and Serenity Jane (Sebi Halo), making him a half-brother to El Exito (Il Campione), currently the top miler at Palermo and winner of the Gran Premio de las Américas - OSAF (G1).
Another likely to draw strong bidding is Abanderado (Angiolo), out of the prolific Ixala (Intérprete), a half-sister to champion Ixal and the dam of stakes winners Bixal (Incurable Optimist) and Seaxan (Sebi Halo), as well as Shadowbox (Sebi Halo), a G3-placed mare who produced Eligia (Il Campione), runner-up in the Gran Premio de Potrancas (G1).
Other yearlings with noteworthy pedigrees include:
Limonero (Le Blues - Inter Rubia, by Intérprete), a full brother to La Rubia Blue, a stakes winner, and a half-brother to G3-placed Arnoldo (Angiolo), a Gran Premio Batalla de Tucumán winner.
A Plena Luz (Angiolo - Ivory Light, by Intérprete), a half-brother to stakes winner Droshky (Don Valiente).
Trigales (Mootasadir - Miri House, by Housebuster), a half-brother to G3 winner Slingerlands (Sebi Halo).
Carnavaleras (Strategos - Serpentine Lane, by Sebi Halo), a half-brother to stakes performers Anda Conmigo (Angiolo) and Alaris Lane (Angiolo).
The weanling section will feature offspring of Il Campione, Le Blues, Angiolo, Strategos, Mootasadir, Springdom, Master of Hounds, and the first crop of El Musical (Il Campione).
Among the highlights:
Exclamation Mark (Il Campione - Federalist, by Stonesider), a full brother to G2 winner Editorial Comment and G3-placed Educator, is expected to command a top price.
Eternamente Libre (Il Campione - Shapes and Shadows, by Sebi Halo), a half-brother to Bien del Paraíso.
Río del Nilo (El Musical - Inter Plus, by Alpha Plus), a half-brother to Eritrean (Il Campione).
Marcelinho (Master of Hounds - Avellina, by Angiolo), a half-brother to stakes winner Lo Dejo Todo (Le Blues).
Estación Solari (Il Campione - Miss Tach, by Numerous), a half-sister to Rita Tach (Bahiaro).
Monterrey (Master of Hounds - Invitame, by Intérprete), a half-brother to Bittem (Incurable Optimist).
Soledad y Malvina (Springdom - Brazilian Night, by Incurable Optimist), a half-sister to Second Wind (Sebi Halo).
Singleshot (Springdom - Probability, by Incurable Optimist), a half-sister to Dichotomy (Don Valiente).
With such an impressive catalog, El Paraíso’s Grand Annual Sale promises to deliver yet another memorable edition, filled with top-tier racing and breeding prospects.
