Years bring experience, and experience brings patience. In this essential and useful trait, jockey Facundo Coria relied on to navigate Enjoy Dancing (Hi Happy) out of a serious trouble that could have been race-ending, ultimately guiding her to a thrilling win in the Clásico Olavarría (G3), the main event on Saturday at the Hipódromo de San Isidro. The race, run over a 1000-meter turf course, was marked by a powerful late surge from the filly, overcoming the adversity with poise and strength.

In short races like this one, there’s little time to overcome traffic issues; usually, such disruptions seal the fate of the runner. But not for the talented filly, who had regained confidence with a recent conditional win and now showcased her class again at the highest level, as she has done during her lengthy campaign, which includes 18 starts at just 3 years old.

Vida Real (Qué Vida Buena) broke from the outside and ran strongly, while Coria allowed his rivals to pass on the inside, finding an opening through the middle of the field to assess the situation. As the race reached the halfway point, it was time to accelerate. Coria made his move, but La Meninha (Le Blues) failed to fire, and Durmia (Cityscape) veered sharply inward, boxing Enjoy Dancing in.

Coria reacted quickly, avoiding a strong collision and regathering his mount. With patience, he unleashed a determined late run, securing the victory by half a length over Durmia, who was second. In a tremendous effort, Realizada Cat(Hurricane Cat) finished third, just a neck behind. The race was completed in 59.61 seconds.

Bred at Haras VacaciónEnjoy Dancing extended the strong form of her connections—Stud Rodolfo Pedro and trainer Edgardo Martucci, who had won the previous week at Palermo with Ceniza Pampa (Hat Trick) in the Gran Premio Gilberto Lerena (G1).

Out of Elizabetta (Roman Ruler), a half-sister to the stakes-winning Eliceo (Remote), Enjoy Dancing now boasts 4 victories and 2 stakes wins, having previously triumphed over males in the Islas Malvinas (L) at two years old.
