There may be some friendly debate among members of Haras La Pasión, but most agree: the group of yearlings set to go under the hammer in Thursday’s Gran Venta Selección is one of the finest ever assembled by the operation.

Conducted by Antonio Bullrich S.A., and scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m. at the farm's Tattersall, the sale will once again be a true celebration for owners and professionals alike, showcasing a standout lineup of colts and fillies with elite pedigrees, eye-catching physiques, and by some of the most highly regarded stallions in South America.

Enrique Sauro, manager of La Pasión, is enthusiastic about what’s in store: “We’re thrilled with the group of yearlings we’re presenting. Finding a stallion like Gouverneur Morris has given us a massive push to keep striving for even more.” The mention of the Constitution son is far from coincidental—he stands at the farm and has quickly emerged as one of the breakout young sires of 2025, thanks in part to his undefeated daughter Roshita, winner of the G2 Saturnino J. Unzué and one of the main contenders for the G1 Gran Premio Jorge de Atucha.

The sale catalog includes multiple offspring by the striking grey, as well as yearlings by the likes of Equal Stripes(Candy Stripes), Il Campione (Scat Daddy), Cosmic Trigger (Lizard Island), and Manipulator (Unbridled), in addition to members of the third crop by Il Mercato (Not for Sale) and Lucullan (Hard Spun), and a pair representing the debut crop of the promising Gershwin (Distorted Humor).

Among the standout yearlings by Gouverneur Morris:

  • Boldro, out of G2 winner Buenas Costumbres (Honour and Glory), and a half-brother to high-class runners Berri Vell and Buen Escocés (both by Bodemeister);

  • Miamore, out of G2 winner Mozilla (Exchange Rate), and a half-brother to unbeaten stakes performer Mozo de Bar, who contested the latest G1 Gran Premio Carlos Pellegrini;

  • Dobrava, out of G2 winner Dixie Redy (More Than Ready), dam of G1 Estrellas Classic hero Dandy del Barrio;

  • Elyse, out of Entranced (Ghostzapper), a half-sister to stakes winner Es Torrent;

  • Palm Angel, second foal out of G3 winner Pallars (Easing Along);

  • Eglefino, out of Embrasement (Mutakddim), and a half-brother to stakes winner Eulario;

  • Mumbero, out of Madisong Song (Grand Slam), and a half to stakes winner Montecelso;

  • Caieiras, out of Cuántica (Intérprete), and a half-sister to G3 winner Cangas de Onis (Mutakddim).

Plenty of attention is expected for Sifnos, a son of Equal Stripes out of G3-placed Sexy Back (Not for Sale), a full sister to multiple G2 winner Orcada Sale. Likewise, My Wind, by Il Campione out of Opa Locka (Orpen), is out of a half-sister to champion Ollagua (Pure Prize) and G3 winner Happy Secrets (Hi Happy), from the stellar family of Griffe de Paris (Telescópico).

The Il Mercato offerings include several yearlings with top-notch pedigrees, led by Gaziler, out of G3 winner Golden Yoga (Easing Along), already the dam of rising star Galitza (Bodemeister); and Romance Latino, a son of G3 Romance Night (Orpen), and a half-brother to G1 Gran Premio Selección winner Romance Sea (Seahenge).

From Cosmic Trigger, there’s Linguado, out of Le Chat Assassin (Exchange Rate), a half-brother to Uruguayan classic winner Leonides (Bodemeister). Also on offer is Canada Dry, by Manipulator and out of Coraza Mística(Easing Along), a full brother to stakes winner Capello, and a maternal sibling to stakes-placed Camus Superior and Cristal Head (both by Vástago Salvaje).

This Thursday’s Gran Venta Selección promises to be one of the most compelling offerings yet from Haras La Pasión—an event that brings together the past, present, and future of Argentine breeding.
