Il Campione, Orpen, Haras El Paraíso, and Haras Firmamento Lead the Way in Argentine Rankings

With the first quarter of the season in the books, Il Campione, Orpen, Haras El Paraíso, and Haras Firmamento sit atop the Argentine sire, broodmare sire, breeder, and owner rankings, respectively, according to data released by the Stud Book Argentino

Stud Book Argentino are beginning to take shape, with familiar names rising to the top across the board. Il Campione (Scat Daddy) leads all sires, Orpen (Lure) heads the broodmare sire list, Haras El Paraíso holds the top spot among breeders, and Firmamento has surged ahead in the owners’ standings. On the track, Grezzo (Hi Happy) remains the country's top earner.

Though the lead is not yet commanding, Il Campione has opened up a margin of nearly 68 million pesos over Fortify(Distorted Humor), with Remote (Dansili) continuing his steady climb in third. In a career-best position, Hi Happy (Pure Prize) sits fourth, while Daddy Long Legs (Scat Daddy) rounds out the top five.

The breeder standings have Haras El Paraíso ahead of Firmamento by about 80 million pesos, with Haras La Pasiónenjoying a strong season to secure the third spot, followed by Abolengo and Vacación.

Among broodmare sires, Orpen has begun to edge away from Easing Along (Storm Cat), with 305,806,975 pesos in progeny earnings to the latter’s 274,930,001. Sebi Halo (Southern Halo) holds third, with Pure Prize and Intérprete(Farnesio) next in line.

As for owners, Firmamento is proving nearly unstoppable, even without accounting for its recent wins in the G2 Chevalier and G2 Ramírez. The powerhouse stable has already built a 40-million-peso lead over consistent rival Tinta Roja, while La ProvidenciaMamina, and El Alfalfar complete the current top five.

On the equine side, Grezzo continues to dominate the earnings list, though Obra Clásica (Suggestive Boy) moved into second after capturing the G2 Fernández Guerrico. The talented juvenile Sarzana Pass (Distinctiv Passion) climbed into third and is now the leading 2-year-old. Endo Verde (Endorsement) surged following his win in La Punta’s G3 Dupuy, while Fantasioso Pass (Distinctiv Passion) holds fifth.
