LA PLATA- As the horse racing community continues to await a turnaround for the sport in Buenos Aires province (the agreement with Lotería remains unsigned...), the Bosque received entries this Friday for its next two race days, scheduled for Tuesday, February 11, and Thursday, February 13.
With a solid number of horses entered, the action will feature two key stakes races. The first date will showcase the initial black-type event of the season for 2-year-old colts, the Criadores Argentinos del Sangre Pura de Carrera (L), contested over 1000 meters. Meanwhile, Thursday's program will be headlined by the Fortunato Novara (G3), a mile-long race for 3-year-olds and up under weight-for-age conditions.
A field of 10 is set to go postward in the Criadores, highlighted by Takeshi Frank (Gidu), who recently finished second to The Great Cash (The Great Day) in the Clásico Congreve (L) at San Isidro, and Vendaval Joy (Roman Joy), Indie Joy (Roman Joy), and Antiguo Secreto (Angiolo), who finished 1-2-3 in the controversial Clásico Nueva Generación.
Joining them on the probable starters' list are Animal Topic (El Animal), Easy Dream (Unbridle's Dream), Emm Yugo (Emmanuel), Full Caluroso (Full Mast), Tricolor Pass (Distinctiv Passion), and Gryschin (Malenchini).
As for the Novara, an impressive 28 entries were submitted, including multiple stakes winners such as Es Aristocrático (Angiolo), Sapporo (Japan), Husson Chuck (Chuck Berry), and Storm Sound (Hi Happy).
