The filly, the mare, and the horse added new victories in tough races for multiple winners

Days like the one witnessed this Wednesday at Hipódromo de San Isidro are what have made this venue great. A throwback to times when there were no excessive alternative categories—unlike today—and when racing faced a different set of challenges.
It was a result of scheduling adjustments and the Lollapalooza festival, but experiencing a midweek card in the north with quality races was refreshing, even though it's clear that in a week, we'll return to the usual mediocrity.
The Handicap Larrea was contested, with a resounding victory by Bartlemy (Full Mast), and the two-year-old Phanton (Outstrip) made a winning debut with plenty of promise. Additionally, several other allowance races were worth following closely, featuring horses with real class.
Early in the day, the Premio Gran Enemigo over 1000 meters for three-year-old fillies with one or two wins saw Enjoy Dancing finally break a long losing streak, showcasing the talent that led her to victory in last year’s Clásico Islas Malvinas (L) and made her a contender in several other black-type events. With apprentice Lucas González in the irons, the Hi Happy filly out of Elizabetta (Roman Ruler), bred by Haras Vacación and racing for Stud Rodolfo Pedro, drew off by an impressive five lengths over Portuaria Lure (Puerto Escondido) in 56.76 seconds. Pablo Martucci saddled the bay filly for his father, Edgardo, who conditions her, bringing her record to 3 wins from 17 starts.
A little later, Soy Yarquén (Seize—South Queen, by Southern Halo), a homebred for Haras Alborada, returned from a layoff with a performance full of grit. She led from the break, was passed in the stretch, but battled back to defeat Holy Valley (Homage) by half a length in the Premio Phelps, a 1200-meter dirt event for four-year-old mares with two or three wins. Trained by Franco Scarpello, she provided one of Francisco Leandro's four wins on the day, stopping the clock in 1:10.10.
Finally, also at 1000 meters on turf, Embody (Bodemeister—Embrida, by Lizard Island) returned from a break to dominate the Premio Cheburek by six lengths over Tresina Prime (Emperor Richard), sporting the Las Canarias silks and backed by the successful duo of Juan Saldivia and William Pereyra.
