This Tuesday, the schedule for the next three race days at Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo was finalized, set to begin on Friday, February 14, with a continuation on Sunday, February 16, and the final day on Monday, February 17.
While San Isidro’s Saturday card will feature the much-anticipated Gran Premio Miguel A. Martínez de Hoz, the weekend will also include notable racing in the capital. On Sunday, the Miguel Angel y Tomás Juárez Celman (G2) will be contested over one mile on turf, with a purse of 12,675,000 pesos for fillies and mares aged three and older.
The field of eight will feature standout runners such as Amiguita Gina (Todo Un Amiguito), Abogada Brava (Cosmic Trigger), Byron Star (Equal Stripes), and La Importadora (Bodemeister), with the only notable absentee being Lady Jones (Full Mast). Also in the mix are Che Mamita (Safety Check), Obra Clásica (Daddy Long Legs), Terzina (Suggestive Boy), and Viva Al Sur (South Kissing).
This Friday, the card will feature 14 races, with the highlight being the Clásico Jerry Honor (1000m, dirt), for horses aged four and up, running under weight-for-age conditions. The key runner in this race is the veteran Qué Ta Güeno (Qué Vida Buena), who will face off against Arrosto (Manipulator), Cerrito Piñón (Manipulator), El Paradigma (Il Campione), En Un Rincón (Manipulator), Lone Ranger (Le Blues), and Prisma Halo (Perseverante Halo).
Looking ahead to Monday, the highlight will be the Clásico Roberto Pellegatta, a 1200m turf race for fillies and mares aged three and up, with weights assigned according to the regulations.
The race will feature just five runners after four withdrawals: Chrys Kissing (South Kissing), Early Life (Suggestive Boy), Look Happy (Hi Happy), Rafa Mía (Santillano), and Victoria Bayern (Santillano).
In total, 13 races are scheduled for Monday’s card.
