The Campeonato Palermo de Oro for fillies kicks off this afternoon at Avenida del Libertador and Dorrego with the 2000 meters of the Clásico Arturo R. y Arturo Bullrich (G2), offering a purse of 13,260,000 pesos to the winner. This event marks the start of a series that will continue next month with the Gran Premio Gilberto Lerena (G1) on turf and culminate on May 1 with the Gran Premio Criadores (G1), back on the 2000-meter dirt track. Additionally, this race offers the bonus of being a Breeders' Cup Distaff (G1) qualifier through the Challenge Series - Win and You're In.

A competitive field will line up, with many rising names looking to challenge for the top spot in the division, where the title of best filly is up for grabs following the departure of the top runners from last season.

Back on the dirt after a subpar performance in the Gran Premio Copa de Plata (G1), Martana is given another chance. She previously defeated Brienne Trigger (Cosmic Trigger) in the Handicap Miss Grillo on this surface and finished second to the exported Ayra Stark (Cosmic Trigger) in the Clásico Ramón Biaus (G2).

Sarawak Rim (Remote), undefeated in three outings, will try to maintain her perfect record in her first major test. The Stud Los Melli filly has never been seriously tested and most recently won by 6 lengths over 1800 meters. She steps up in both class and distance, a challenge she must respond to.

Always well-regarded, It’s My Look (Equal Stripes) came back from a poor reappearance to take a comfortable conditional win over 2000 meters locally. She returns to stakes company and is expected to be a contender in the finish.

Noche Alta (Hi Happy), with a solid record at distances ranging from 1400 meters to a mile, enters with three classic wins under her belt. She faces the 2000-meter challenge, likely running from behind and looking to make a strong late move, hoping for a fast pace.

The 3-year-old filly Ceniza Pampa (Hat Ninja), who most recently finished second in the Clásico Juan Shaw (G2) on turf, has plenty of experience to be considered a surprise contender. At Stud RDI, they hope the Brazilian import Mysterious Way (Agnes Gold) will regain her best form on the dirt in her debut.

The field is completed by Bichita de Luz (Fragotero) and Safe With Me (Fortify), who appear to be the longshots based on current form.
