The Pozo de Luna filly has been shining at the mile and now sets her sights on going farther in the G2 Clásico Paseana.

This afternoon’s racing at Hipódromo de San Isidro promises to be an eventful one, with two featured stakes races and a host of conditional races that will surely showcase some future stars on the big stage.
The graded doubleheader kicks off with the G2 Clásico Porteño, a 2400-meter contest that serves as the final major prep for the G1 Gran Premio 25 de Mayo. Shortly after, the fillies will take center stage in a new edition of the G2 Clásico Paseana, scheduled for 1800 meters, likely to be run on soft turf, a condition that will require some adaptation.
Among the highlights, Obra Clásica makes her debut at this distance, stepping up from the mile where she proved her quality with victories in the G2 Clásico Miguel Angel and Tomás Juárez Celman and the G2 Clásico Ricardo, Ezequiel y Ezequiel M. Fernández Guerrico. Now, she sets her sights on new objectives.
The daughter of Suggestive Boy from Pozo de Luna faces a serious rival in the Brazilian Neowise (Agnes Gold) from Stud RDI, who will take a step back in distance after her impressive win in the G2 Clásico Juan Shaw at 2200 meters. It’s worth noting that Neowise has also triumphed at 1400 and 1600 meters, though she hasn’t competed at this distance in a year and a half.
A front-runner who dislikes company, Obra Clásica will likely encounter challenges from other pace setters such as Lacanian Ink (Fragotero), Elvitas (Cosmic Trigger), or the Brazilian Urtima Viaje (Eyeofthetiger), all of whom prefer to race at the front, which could create a favorable scenario for Neowise.
Punta Turquesa (Fortify) is another contender who will be waiting for a fast pace, as she comes into the race on a high-performance streak and with notable placings, while Garbiñe (Lucullan) has won 2 of her 3 starts, all on dirt.
