The upcoming Saturday card at Hipódromo de San Isidro promises the best action of the week, featuring a high-quality program that could include several 2-year-old events and is anchored by the Clásico Paseana (G2, 1800 meters, turf) and the Clásico Porteño (G3, 2400 meters, turf). The former is for fillies and mares aged three and up, while the latter is open to all ages under the same conditions.

In the race honoring the unforgettable champion Paseana, an intriguing matchup could unfold between Brazilian import Neowise (Agnes Gold), who would be cutting back from 2200 meters after her victory in the Juan Shaw (G2), and Obra Clásica (Daddy Long Legs), who enters off two brilliant graded wins at the mile and will now stretch out to nine furlongs.

Others under consideration for the field include: Cleopatra Kal (Anak Nakal), Coni Bella (Marconi), Elvitas (Cosmic Trigger), Garbiñe (Lucullan), Knows All (Le Blues), Lacanian Ink (Fragotero), Punta Turquesa (Fortify), and another Brazilian-bred, Urtima Viaje (Eyeofthetiger).

The Clásico Porteño, serving as a key prep for the prestigious Gran Premio 25 de Mayo (G1), drew a strong list of 15 potential starters. G1 winner Epityrum (Portal del Alto) and the promising 3-year-old Honest Boy (Heliostatic) headline the nominations.

Also entered are: Capricho de Mar (Treasure Beach), Catch the Bell (Catcher In the Rye), Cleopatra KalEl Cid Campeador (Il Campione), El Pulque (Heliostatic), Gadzooks (Galán de Cine), Halteres (Hat Ninja), Knows AllMar de Honor (Treasure Beach), Mister Coquette (Bodemeister), On the Rock (Global Hunter), Out of the Blue(BRZ, Drosselmeyer), and Southern Secret (Southern Cat).

Meanwhile at Palermo, the Clásico Asociación de Propietarios de Caballos de Carrera (G3, 1400 meters, turf) is scheduled for Monday, April 21. Open to fillies and mares aged three and up, the race has attracted 17 possible contenders, including Causeway Girl (Dabster) and Noche Alta (Hi Happy).
