Fresh off his victory in the Handicap Liloy, the son of Qué Vida Buena now targets the Clásico Jerry Honor on the Palermo straight

The wheel of turf will return this Friday to the dirt at the Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo with a meeting comprising 14 races, including a few interesting conditions and the Clásico Jerry Honor.
Set over 1000 meters on the straightaway for horses aged 4 and up, with weight-for-age scale, the race honors the unforgettable stallion with a central figure in the veteran Qué Ta Güeno, who, approaching 9 years old, continues to make headlines in the sprints.
In fact, after finishing eleventh, less than 5 lengths behind the already-retired Arellano (Angiolo) in the Gran Premio Félix de Alzaga Unzué (G1) on the grass at the Hipódromo de San Isidro, the son of Qué Vida Buena returned to Libertador and Dorrego to get back on track and win the Handicap Liloy carrying the topweight of 62 kilos.
With a start from the center, Qué Ta Güeno will face El Paradigma (Il Campione) once again, a colt who finished just ahead of him the day of the Unzué—he was ninth—while it’s worth noting that previously he had finished second to Le Cornette (Emmanuel) in the Handicap Ringaro.
It will be interesting to see Arrosto (Manipulator) back in the center, another 3-year-old but a special entrant from La Plata, under the training of Angel Piana and presented by Claudia Bellier. After a break following the Clásico Old Man (G3) in July 2024, he recently returned to action in a tough conditional race at La Plata, winning by 2 1/2 lengths over the classy Vivante (Lizard Island) and Pripioca Mio (Lucky Island).
This will be his first appearance on the straight, a challenge that is never easy, but it’s worth recalling that as a juvenile, he won at El Bosque by 11 lengths in a time of 58.86 for 1000 meters.
En Un Rincón (Manipulator) finished third in the Handicap Liloy, just over 3 lengths behind, and seeks revenge against the favorite. Also in the gates will be Cerrito Piñón (Manipulator) and Prisma Halo (Perseverante Halo), both supported by positive campaigns and recent performances that have shown their ability in this division, where everything is always quite competitive.
