The daughter of Long Island Sound excels in this afternoon's central test, at the end of a meeting with only 10 competitions
The issue of the delay in the payment of the purses has complicated the San Isidro Racecourse in the preparation of its cards, although the matter is expected to be regularized in the next few days, since, as reported in this edition, the Lottery of the Province of Buenos Aires has already released the funds corresponding to the months of October and November.
Only 10 races will be held this afternoon at the Jockey Club Argentino's track, with the typical Wednesday panorama and the Handicap Lombardo as the main attraction. It will be held over 1800 meters in the auxiliary dirt track and will be run by 5yo and up mares, wich will compete for a prize of 5,000,000 pesos.
In keeping with the trend, only 6 will be the runners, in a group where the presence of the regular Reina Casada stands out, who will carry the maximum weight of 57 kilos, something low if we take into account her background and those of her rivals.
The mare trained by Enrique Martin Ferro will be looking to break a streak of interesting rides, as she comes from being second in the Handicap Jerry Honor and in the Clásico Blue Prize, losing to the very fast Viva Al Sur (South Kissing) and to the rising India Cheat (Suggestive Boy).
Already winner of the Clásico Doria and the Handicap Miss Linda, and even with graded stakes places among her race record, the daughter of Long Island Sound will have her most dangerous examiner in Priola (South Kissing, 53 1/2), who had a stupendous 2024 and now wants to continue on the rise. She just added a tough allowance and takes the step up to the higher level with expectations.
Portal Dame (Portal del Alto, 53), who is usually given to surprise, is always in the lead, and Cleopatra Kal (Anak Nakal, 53 1/2), who, after beating the aforementioned Portal Dame and Reina Casada in the Handicap Pipiolo, has lowered her guard a bit, always running comming from behind.
The little group is completed by Noche Plateada (In the Dark, 55) and Manicura Rusa (Zensational, 51 1/2) that in the preview appear a step below the previous ones in terms of merits, but with their hopes intact to make themselves felt.
