The homebred out of Gran Muñeca scored an easy gate-to-wire victory in Wednesday's feature, with Brian Enrique in the irons

Speed and her capacity for the turn were once again the winning formula for Churrullera, who dominated Wednesday’s Clásico Vit Reina (1200m, dirt) at San Isidro, reaffirming her excellent current form.
Carrying 56.5 kilos, the Haras Gran Muñeca homebred never let her four rivals get close, taking command from the break and cruising to victory as the $1.95 favorite.
With Brian Enrique in the irons—gradually regaining peak fitness after an injury sidelined him for months—the daughter of Fortify opened up a couple of lengths early, a margin that never shrank. She set fractions of :23.93 and :46.26, gaining momentum to close powerfully in 1:09.76.
Enchanted Tales (Il Campione, 55.5) was the only one to give chase but ran out of gas in the stretch. Aiyanna (Santillano, 56.5) and Look Happy (Hi Happy, 57) emerged from farther back, attempting to reel in the leader, but to no avail.
At the wire, Churrullera held 1 1/2 lengths over Aiyanna, who edged Look Happy by a half-head for second. Another 2 1/2 lengths behind, Enchanted Tales settled for fourth, with Emalvi (Orpen, 55.5) bringing up the rear.
This marked the fourth career win in 19 starts for Churrullera and her second at the stakes level, having previously captured the Clásico Tristeza Cat in late November—coincidentally over the same 1200 meters on dirt. In between, she finished runner-up to Save Your Tears (Full Mast) in the Clásico Francia (L) on turf.
Wednesday’s heroine is the third foal out of Charlatana Key (Key Deputy), a Clásico Kasteel winner and a full sister to G3 winner Comidillo Key and stakes scorer Compadrón Key. She hails from the prolific Cris Flame (Bold Flame) family, one of Haras El Alfalfar’s most successful breeding lines, which also includes the likes of Comadre Cat (Easing Along), Crisostomo Key, West Key, and East Key (Key Deputy).
