The Juárez Celman leads the leg of stakes races awaiting at Palermo

Run over a mile and for fillies and mares aged 3 and up, it will share the card with the Jerry Honor and Roberto Pellegatta Stakes during the week

While the Gran Premio Miguel A. Martínez de Hoz (G1) will draw the most attention next weekend, there will also be several significant races to look forward to at Hipódromo de Palermo.

The highlight will come on Sunday, the 16th, with a new edition of the Miguel Angel y Tomás Juárez Celman (G2), to be run over a mile on the controversial turf track. The race will feature fillies and mares aged 3 and up, with a winner's prize of 12,675,000 pesos.

Nine are expected to contest the race, with standout entries including Amiguita Gina (Todo Un Amiguito), Abogada Brava (Cosmic Trigger), Byron Star (Equal Stripes), and La Importadora (Bodemeister). Other possible contenders include Che Mamita (Safety Check), Lady Jones (Full Mast), Obra Clásica (Daddy Long Legs), Terzina(Suggestive Boy), and Viva Al Sur (South Kissing).

Racing at the center will begin on Friday, the 14th, with the Clásico Jerry Honor (1000m, dirt), open to horses aged 4 and up under a weight-for-age scale. With 10 entries, the veteran Qué Ta Güeno (Qué Vida Buena) stands out as the leading contender.

Arrosto (Manipulator), Cerrito Piñón (Manipulator), El Paradigma (Il Campione), En Un Rincón (Manipulator), Hiran (Santillano), Hollistic (Homage), Lone Ranger (Le Blues), and Prisma Halo (Perseverante Halo) are among his potential rivals.

Looking ahead to Monday, the 17th, the feature race will be the Clásico Roberto Pellegatta, a 1200-meter turf race for fillies and mares aged 3 and up, with weights assigned according to regulations.

Bayonne (Puerto Escondido), Candlelit (Equal Stripes), Chrys Kissing (South Kissing), Early Life (Suggestive Boy), Enjoy Dancing (Hi Happy), Holy Valley (Homage), Look Happy (Hi Happy), Rafa Mía (Santillano), and Victoria Bayern (Santillano) are the 9 horses entered.

As usual, confirmations and jockey bookings will be accepted until noon on Tuesday, and the final fields will be announced later that afternoon.
