The two stud farms will hold their traditional joint sale this Thursday, starting at 2:00 PM at the Tattersal de Solís

The series of sales in Argentina will reach another important milestone next Thursday at the Tattersall del Haras La Pasión, where the stud farm of Ricardo and Nicolás Benedicto will hold its traditional Gran Venta Yeguas Madre, in collaboration with Haras Firmamento, as they have done in recent years.
With a mixed format, both in-person and online, the sale will be conducted by Antonio Bullrich SA and will begin at 2:00 PM, with a preview scheduled for 1:00 PM and the streaming starting around 12:30 PM.
The offering includes 72 broodmares, daughters of renowned sires and notable maternal grandsires such as Bernstein(Storm Cat), Easing Along (Storm Cat), Pulpit (A.P. Indy), English Channel (Smart Strike), Invincible Spirit (Green Desert), Harlan's Holiday (Harlan), Chester House (Mr. Prospector), Southern Halo (Halo), Grand Slam (Gone West), Mutakddim (Seeking the Gold), Catcher In the Rye (Danehill), Equal Stripes (Candy Stripes), Honour and Glory (Relaunch), Thunder Gulch (Gulch), Van Nistelrooy (Storm Cat), and Lizard Island (Danehill Dancer), among others.
The mares are pregnant by proven stallions such as Il Mercato (Not for Sale), Seahenge (Scat Daddy), Winning Prize (Pure Prize), Seize (War Front), Lucullan (Hard Spun), Gouverneur Morris (Constitution), and The Great Day (Harlan's Holiday), as well as others with their first crops expected to hit the tracks in the future, such as Dr. Post(Quality Road), Emotion Orpen (Orpen), Gershwin (Distorted Humor), Hiper Happy (Cityscape), King Guillermo (Uncle Mo), Mutasaabeq (Into Mischief), and Slow Down Andy (Nyquist).
In the midst of a challenging economic moment for both the horse racing industry and the country — a situation that has been chronic — the crisis represents an opportunity for breeders, with top-tier genetics available, including several winning mares or producers of classic horses in the catalog.
For example, some consignments from La Pasión include City Lion (Lion Heart), the dam of City Map (Zensational), winner of the Boucau, from the direct family of Candy Ride (Ride the Rails), and pregnant by Il Mercato; City Map, expecting a foal by King Guillermo; Cuántica (Intérprete), dam of G3 winner Cangas de Onis (Mutakddim), empty; Embellish (Editor's Note), dam of the prolific runner Espeluznada (Exchange Rate), also empty; Emisaria (Roy), dam of G2 winner Emmanuel (Roman Ruler) and grandmother of the classic El Emirato (Roman Ruler), pregnant by Hiper Happy; Madisong Song (Grand Slam), dam of Montecelso (Easing Along), Madero Tango (Easing Along), and Mojito Bay (Sidney's Candy), pregnant by Mutasaabeq; Masquenada (Muhtathir), dam of Mascot Virtual(Sidney's Candy), pregnant by Hiper Happy; Nicaragua (Bernstein), dam of Niccola (Exchange Rate) (L), served by King Guillermo; G1 winner Peristáltica (Intérprete); Potri Jazz (Smart Strike), sister of the champion Touareg(Easing Along) and dam of the classic Potri Atoll (Sidney's Candy); Pussycat Doll (Mutakddim), dam of Push Up (Bodemeister), pregnant by Hiper Happy; and the very successful Tinta China (English Channel).
Meanwhile, Firmamento will offer Aldea Bomb (Hit It a Bomb), a classic winner pregnant by The Great Day; Carísima Emper (Emperor Jones), dam of the titleholder Caro Key (Key Deputy) and also pregnant by The Great Day; Delicada Glory (Honour and Glory), dam of the classic winner in Peru Más Allá del Viento (Mastercraftsman), pregnant by Slow Down Andy; the classic producer Queen Slam (Grand Slam), served by The Great Day; and Tan Alegre (Southern Halo), dam of Talion (Stay Thirsty), Al Maestro (Grand Reward), Super Contento (Super Saver), and Happy Bomb (Hit It a Bomb), pregnant by The Great Day.
