The Hipódromo de San Isidro is ready to host the first major steps of the juvenile selection process on turf this Friday, with the running of the Clásico Raúl y Raúl E. Chevalier (G2) and the Clásico Eliseo Ramírez (G2) for colts and fillies, respectively, both contested over 1400 meters.

Despite an overall promising card, only five runners have been confirmed for each race—an ongoing trend that underscores the difficulty of running three different selection series simultaneously in the current Argentine racing landscape.

In the Chevalier, a competitive field will see Full Keynote (Full Mast), Muchacho Calavera (Mask), Drive Joy (Fortify), Liberto (Hurricane Cat), and Real Rim (Remote) battling for supremacy.

Meanwhile, the Eliseo Ramírez looks evenly matched among Gata Frank (Gidu), Lessons of Life (Le Blues), Charm (Strategos), Jeanette (Remote), and Tiz Joy (Fortify).

The San Isidro racing week will conclude on Wednesday, April 9, highlighted by the Clásico Lord At War (L), a 1200-meter handicap on dirt for three-year-olds and upAmigazo Mak (Maktub) will carry the topweight of 59 kilos, facing off against Gran Celestial (Il Mercato, 53 1/2), Lunático Blues (Le Blues, 53 1/2), Arcanum (Horse Greeley, 54 1/2), Hit Rouge (Hit It a Bomb, 57 1/2), Suarium (Manipulator, 54 1/2), El Paradigma (Il Campione, 56 1/2), Talento Emergente (Equal Talent, 56), and Bambino Duke (Lenovo, 56).

Meanwhile, Palermo will add another stakes feature on Monday, April 7, with the Clásico Estados Unidos de América (G3, 1000m, dirt), a key prep for the Gran Premio Ciudad de Buenos Aires (G1).

A field of nine has been entered, including Humor Sabatino (Sabayón), Lo Dejo Todo (Le Blues), Land of Promise (Le Blues), Lone Ranger (Le Blues), Yukon Jack (Remote), Abrazos (Daddy Long Legs), Vida Amorosa (Safety Check), Cerrito Piñón (Manipulator), and Camuflaje (Orpen).
